Cypress Pond Kennel Feeding

Recommendations :

At Cypress Pond Kennel we only feed Purina brand dog foods. We recommend that if you choose to change the food your puppy has been receiving then PLEASE do this over a 3-4 day time period.Changing your puppy’s /dog’s food immediately can make the pup sick . Their bodies have to adjust to the new food. We feed all puppies a mixture of Purina Alpo Puppy Formula(canned) and Purina Puppy Chow Large Breed  or Purina One Large Breed puppy food (dry).We mix about half a can of the Alpo with 3-4 handfuls of the dry food. Until they are 7-8 weeks old we recommend that the dry food is moistened with warm water. When changing your dog’s food, give what the dog is used to mixed with a handful or two of the new food. Every time you feed him/her after this increase the amount of the desired food, until they adjust.
